Dear Parents,
This morning we were contacted by the Department of Health and Human Services following concerns raised re a lack of social distancing of adults in the car park after school.

DHHS were happy with the plans we have in place but suggested we remind everyone of the need to work together to reduce the risks for everyone.

We are asking you all to help us overcome these concerns by doing the following:

  • Maintaining the 1.5 metre spacing between yourself and other adults
  • Always wear your mask
  • Avoiding waiting right near the gate or on the path where children exit
  • Staying in your car or staying well clear of the pick-up area until your children are brought out of the gate
  • Grade 2 and siblings 3.00p.m.
  • Grade 1 and siblings 3.05p.m.
  • Foundation and siblings 3.10p.m.
  • Grade 3-6 at 3.15p.m.
  • Refrain from having a long discussion with your child’s teacher at pick up time. Parents can email their child’s teacher to arrange a suitable time to talk.
  • If you are not picking up your child until 3.15p.m. plan to arrive at that time. During the first few days of this week all of the cars and children have gone by 3.20p.m. Coming a little later won’t be a problem, as staff are there to supervise your children at the gate up until 3.30p.m.
  • Consider parking in surrounding streets and walk to the pick-up location at the pick-up time.

Thank you in advance for your support.
Yours sincerely,

David Naismith
